Optional Activity - Garden Walking Tour of South Osborne

Friday, August 25: 12:00-1:30 p.m.
The walk begins at the Osborne Library, Osborne at Kylemore.
   Free. Phone, visit or go online at winnipeg.ca/library to register.

Wine & Cheese / Meet & Greet

Friday August 25, from 7 - 9 PM
Churchill Park United Church (formerly Rosedale United Church) (Beresford at Nassau)
   There is a side entrance on the east (Osborne) side of the church.
   We will be in the lounge on the main floor (to your right as you enter)

Assiniboine Forest Walk

Saturday August 26, 9:30 A.M.
Up to 1½ or 1¾ hours, with turnback points for those who wish to do a shorter walk
   Meet in the parking lot at Chalfont & Grant.
   Please arrive early, as the walk will start promptly at 9:30.

Coffee at The Folio

Some people will be going to The Folio for coffee or lunch immediately after the forest walk.
   They will probably arrive at The Folio around 11:30 Saturday.
   The restaurant is in the northern campus of Canadian Mennonite University, at the NW corner of Grant & Shaftesbury.  (It's the new building, not the old School for the Deaf).
   If there is no parking available, you can park behind the south campus on the south side of Grant.  There is a skywalk from the southern campus building that you can use to reach the northern campus building. 

Catered Reunion Dinner

Saturday August 26.  Come at 5:00 PM for Happy Hour. Dinner will be served at 6 PM.
At Lesley & Dave Hammerback's, 127 Quincy Bay (Waverley Heights). 
   Parking is available on Quincy Bay and on nearby Chancellor Drive.
   Please bring your own beverages.  There will be Iced Tea & Water available.

   There will be a Karaoke/Sing Along, and Ilena Kozub Zaramba will treat us to a few solo numbers.
   There will also be a Memorial Tree Lighting in honour of those whom we have lost over the years.
   All are encouraged to participate.

Farewell Lunch

Sunday August  27, 1:30 PM at The Oakwood Cafe, in the strip mall at 4-660 Osborne St. 
The parking lot is small, but there is street parking in the area.
   A reservation for 15 has been made by the planning committee.
   If you are planning on attending Sunday lunch, but have not yet notified Lesley, please do so ASAP.

Recommended Optional Activities for Sunday August 27

You might have noticed that the registration form asked you to pay Lesley for some of these events, if you wished to attend.  This is no longer the plan - you  will be responsible for your own arrangements.  The reunion committee is not organizing these events.

   The Leaf Garden, at Assiniboine Park.  Open 9AM to 9PM.  It is recommended that tickets be booked online.
   The Canadian Museum for Human Rights, at the Forks.
       Book online or walk up.
       Open on Sunday (10AM to 5 PM), but there are no organized tours that day.
       However, there's a tour you can take on Saturday at 1:30.  Just show up.
   WAG-Qaumajuq (The Winnipeg Art Gallery) is home to the largest public collection of contemporary Inuit art in the world.  Open 11AM to 5PM Sunday.
